Let’s start on the home page. Make sure we're in editor mode. Let's first save this section so that you always have a copy of its original version if you need it.

Here's how to replace an image. Double-click the image block. Click Replace, and then Upload File. As you add photos to your site, you can find them in what's called an image library. Since I already have photos in my library, I'm going to click Select from Library to grab one.

Now we'll edit this text. Triple-click this text to highlight it. Now type in your own statement. I say to highlight and type rather than highlight and delete because Squarespace will sometimes reset the format if you delete the text.

0:41

But that's not necessarily a problem because you always have this toolbar to change the format to however you'd like. For example, you can change the size, the color, make it bold, anything else you want to do.

Try to keep this statement around two to three sentences max. This should just be a summary of your art. If your paragraph takes up more room than this, You might notice that your photo now looks small in comparison.

1:09

If you want to change the size of a photo, you can always click on it and then drag these little dots to make it larger or smaller.

1:18

You can also click and drag the photo to place it somewhere else. These buttons are already linked to their assigned pages so no need to do any editing here. This section was made using the gallery feature.

1:32

First, we'll go ahead and save it before we make any changes. Now, although they look similar, these aren't image blocks that can be moved independently like the one we were just editing.

1:42

They are part of one unit called a gallery. To edit the gallery, hover over this section and click Edit Gallery.

1:48

You'll want to delete all the photo templates. To do that, hover over the template and click the trash icon. Clicking Upload will bring you to your image library.

2:05

Clicking Upload Image will allow you to choose a new image from your device to add. You don't need to include all your art pieces here, because we have a gallery page where those will go.

2:14

These are just meant to be highlights. Try to stick to 6 or 8, that way you have even columns of 3 or 4. When you're done adding to the gallery, click Close.

2:24

You can adjust how your gallery looks by hovering over the gallery and clicking Edit Section. You may want to increase or decrease the number of columns depending on how many photos are in your gallery.

2:42

You also may need to adjust the aspect ratio of your pictures, which you can do here. If you don't have a newsletter, you can remove this section by hovering over it and clicking remove.

3:05

These text boxes function like the ones we previously covered, so if you'd like to edit this text, you can do so.

3:10

To edit the form, double-click it. The only edit you may want to make right now is to the post submit field.

3:19

Right now, after someone submits their email, the form will display this text, but feel free to replace it with your own message.
