Before we make any edits, I want to walk you through a few actions that you should be familiar with. If you just signed in, this is the screen you're probably looking at.

Since I run several sites, I see them all listed out here, but if you're new to Squarespace, you'll just see one.

Go ahead and click Website. Click Pages. This menu lets you navigate through all the pages on your site. If you ever need to delete a page, click on this little settings icon, and then click Delete Page.

You can also change the order that they appear on this main menu by clicking and dragging them to a different spot on the list.

Before you make any edits to your webpages, you need to click the Edit button to open up site editor. If you ever make any changes that you want to undo, like this for example, you can press this back arrow to undo an action.

It's important to remember though that once you click Save and leave Editor mode, you can't undo any actions from a previous editing session.

That’s why another helpful feature I want to introduce you to is the save section button. Pages can be made up of one or several sections.

Saving a section allows you to store a copy of it in its exact form that it's in now. You can then insert that copy anywhere on your site whenever you need to.

As we edit the site, I'll point out which sections I think you should save before we work on them. They're just good to have in case you ever want to restore your sections to the way they look now before you make any edits to them.

So just an overview of our site, we have the home page, a gallery page to display all of your work, an about page, and a contact page.

A little note about the gallery page. This website was designed so that you can use it on the most basic plan that Squarespace offers, which is the personal plan.

Squarespace does have a selling feature that you can access by upgrading to the business plan. This will unlock the ability to perform transactions through Squarespace, set up shipping options, manage inventory, as well as a bunch of other more advanced business features.

Once you get the hang of using this platform, this upgrade might be something that you want to explore. And you might want to have a shop here instead of a gallery.

But in the meantime, having a gallery page to display your work, along with these inquire buttons that go straight to your email inbox are a great solution to keep things simple.
