"Spirit of Play"- Donelson Park Sculpture

Summary: “The City of Brighton, Colorado is seeking to commission a permanent public art sculpture that honors the spirit of play for Donelson Park. This area is primarily frequented by young people and their caretakers, so we’re looking for a piece that will celebrate the joy of children playing, while creating a sense of community and a focal point for the area. Pieces that are brightly colored, interactive but durable, or otherwise engaging for children will score highly in our juried process, but we welcome all submissions! Budget: $40,000-$47,000 for the purchase of the sculpture, with an additional $2,000 travel stipend for installation.”
