A/B Testing- How to Find What Really Works
A/B Testing- How to Find What Really Works
A/B testing is an experiment where you compare two versions of something to see which one performs better. For example, when sending your e-newsletter, you might use one subject line for half of your audience and a different subject line for the other half. After both versions are sent, the next step would be measuring which version (A or B) got you more opens or clicks. Based on the winner, you can make more educated decisions on your next marketing move because you know what your audience responds better to.
How you can use A/B testing.
Try out different subject lines for your newsletters to see what makes the most people click open.
Send your emails or post your content at different times of the day to see which time gets you more engagement.
Figure out what type of social posts your audience responds best to by testing different styles. Try posting work in progress photos v finished piece photos and see what performs better.
Test different calls to action. Does your audience respond better to “Buy now” or “Learn more”?
Caption styles- does your audience engage more when you tell stories in your captions or when you keep things short?
A/B testing helps you eliminate the guess work. The more A/B tests you perform, the more you’ll learn about what works best with your audience.
